It was a typical afternoon in Bakersfield, California when Jacquie was listening to her favorite Christian radio station. A news report was given regarding a small group of protestors opposing the display of our national motto somewhere on the east coast. Enraged by this news, her immediate thought was “I am going to work to Put It Up!”

A woman who loves God and loves her country, Jacquie could barely sleep that Sunday evening by making plans to visit the city attorney on Monday morning. Her passion grew with the notion of promoting the USA motto and she eventually realized that God had chosen her for this initiative.

In February 2002, she led the Bakersfield City Council in their historic “Yes Vote” to proudly and prominently display the national motto “In God We Trust” in the council chambers at City Hall. Today, ten years later, there are 209 “Yes Vote” cities aligned with her organization In God We Trust – America, Inc.

With great tenacity, Jacquie believes strongly that “patriots have a responsibility and that she is doing God’s work.”
